Four Hundred Articles and Counting!

The Brazil Counsel Blog just hit a major milestone: our 400th blog article. What started as a small effort to explain the basics of Brazilian law and business has grown into a vast library of practical guidance for foreign investors, entrepreneurs, and individuals living and doing business in Brazil.

Over the years, we’ve tackled the questions people actually ask. Can I buy property in Brazil as a foreigner? What’s a CPF, and why do I need one? What about a CNPJ? How do I sign legal documents if I’m not in Brazil? Can I open a bank account?

We’ve also written extensively about forming companies, buying and selling real estate, managing tax liabilities, conducting due diligence, and navigating the bureaucracy that famously characterizes Brazil. All in English, and all without the complicated legalese.

Our goal has been to make Brazilian law accessible to Americans. Whether you’re starting a business in São Paulo, purchasing a condo on the ocean in Rio, or figuring out if you owe taxes, we aim to give you straightforward answers and honest insight.

The best part? Many of our articles originate from client questions. If you’re wondering about something, chances are someone else is too. With hundreds of articles published, you’ll likely find guidance on whatever challenge you’re facing. And if we haven’t written about it yet, we probably will soon.

So stay tuned. We’ll keep writing, you keep reading, and together we’ll keep making sense of doing business in Brazil. Here’s to the next 400.
